Tiger sharks occupy the areas near the equator and live mainly as scavengers. The tiger shark has a man-eating reputation as only the great white shark attacks humans more frequently. Their jaws are so strong they can crack the shells of sea turtles. These predators will eat nearly anything they can get their jaws around earning them the nickname: “wastebasket of the sea.” via Discovery
